Bute Astronomical Club

We are pleased to welcome Bute Astronomical Club to this year's Festival.  This Club will provide a science outreach event, giving fun hands on science for families, which will be tailored to our event i.e. looking at the technology used by the Vikings, for example, their ships, how they built their houses, food production, etc.  The Club have just completed an event in Rothesay that was Space & Body related and this can be seen on Facebook on the Bute Astronomical Club page. Funded by grant from Talking Science, the Club has been given the remit of taking the event around the West Coast of Scotland. The date and venue for the event will appear on this website and in the Festival Programme once fixed.

The Festival will commemorate the 750th Anniversary of the Battle of Largs in 1263 with many events throughout 2013.

The annual Festival will be held from 31 August to 7 September 2013.

Events are being planned and will be on the website once confirmed
